Yuyuan garden in central Shanghai built in what is known as the Suzhou style.
Although this garden is notorious for being crowded at all times thru-out the year I feel its a great introduction to the amazing tradition of Chinese gardens as it has all the main features that is associated with a classic Chinese garden.
After seeing this garden we were sure that a trip to the small city of Suzhou (which is birth place of the Chinese garden) would be a great way to appreciate the true spirit of these gardens.
